Honey is a very complex natural product that contains sugars, organic acids, amino acids, proteins, minerals, lipids, aroma compounds, flavonoids, vitamins, pigments, waxes, pollen grains, enzymes and other phytochemicals. In lightof the diversity of the flower mellific, there are various honeys which distinguishthemselves by their compositions, depending on the origin of the nectar and onthe miellat, climates, the conditions environmental and the skill of the beekeepers. Honey pollen profile reflects forest vegetation, floral diversity and speciescomposition of the plants foraged by honey bees. The relative pollen frequencyis used to precise the main origin of the nectar or reflects the geographicaloriginality, also the good knowledge of honey types constitutes the essential basisof a rational marketing, being also used as a traceability tool by food controlinstitutions. Honeys can be classified according to the origin of the pollengrain as monofloral if it is dominated from one particular plant, otherwise, if thehoney is given by several vegetable species, it may be classified as polyfloral. In order to avoid falsification, the international honey commission has createdstandards, which are used to determine the quality of the honey.Computationally Motivated Biology is the study of the biology using thecomputer science, with the aim of modelling the biological systems and obtainingdigital biological systems. The main idea is to better understand the behavior inthe biological systems and to facilitate the task for human beings. It is typicallythe simulation of a natural phenomenon.Classification of honey pollen is a subfield in the ecological studies. Thiswork is a survey of classification of honey pollen and its relation with meta-heuristics.
